Nominated!
We are nominated for theĀ Academic Startup Competition 2019, and together with 26 other start-ups we are in the running to become one of the ten best ‘Dutch Pioneering Innovations’ in science. We are proud that the UMC Utrecht nominated us, as Universities and other scientific institutions were asked to bring forward their best spin-offs.

The Academic Startup Competition is an initiative of the VSNU, the Dutch Academy of Technology and Innovation (AcTI) and StartupDelta. During the finale on May 14th, a jury will decide which ten startsups will become part of the shortlist of most innovative pioneers in Dutch science. The winners will get the chance to promote themselves during the Global Entrepeneurship Summit (GES) on June 4-5 in The Hague, to a global audience.

With such elections, the organization offers the nominated spin-offs a chance to get in the spotlights on national and international level. Jorrit Kuipers, boardmember of AcTI: “Academic Startups are of vital importance because of their innovative breakthrough which often have a large societal impact. Just knowledge is not sufficient, you need entrepreneurial skills to market such ideas. Every single nominated start-up is a perfect example of how science and entrepreneurship reinforce each other, and proofs that Dutch universities bring forward brilliant (deep-)techbusinesses.”
