Ewouds scientific work includes empirical studies aimed at enhancing personalized management, mainly by using (network) meta-analysis and prognostic modeling. Ewoud have conducted and involved in several large international individual participant data (IPD) meta-analyses in the focus is generally on subgroup effects, and he has reviewed, developed and validated numerous clinical prediction models. On the other hand his work focuses on methodology for prediction research and IPD (network) meta-analysis, with again a focus on subgroup analysis to identify individuals that may benefit from treatment more than others.
