In their pursuit of lowering the cardiovascular disease burden by 25% in 2030, the Dutch CardioVascular Alliance (DCVA) recently partnered up with Elevate for the next three years. In order to achieve this goal, a lot of high-quality, innovative research, as well as a proper translation of results to the best health care for everyone and adequate leadership is needed. Therewith, the idea of a two-year Leadership Program for successful researchers, health specialists and entrepreneurs within the cardiovascular field was born.
This Leadership Program consists of a series of in-depth, on-site training sessions, in which theory and practice complement each other. In addition, from time to time inspiring speakers are invited to give interesting presentations with accompanying open discussions. Finally, participants get divided into groups and work together under the supervision of a mentor throughout the program.
In order to make the Leadership Program more versatile, particularly useful with the rapidly changing circumstances around COVID-19, a blended program has been developed. By making use of Elevate’s online learning platform, DCVA is able to offer information, documents and assignments complementary to the physical training days online. Moreover, participants can work together and communicate with other participants, an advisory team and their mentor. Here, Elevate is happy to guide DCVA in their exploration and use of the online learning platform, one edition at a time.
