Karen Galindo

She wrote her first grant proposal in 1989 to fund a herpetological survey in Sonora, Mexico. Since then, she has written proposals to build a library in Yemen; construct a water-harvesting system for a community school in Tucson, Arizona; fund a multi-million dollar US Department of Education Title VI research center; send teachers to Syria with Fulbright-Hayes; help her old favorite city secure a major US Departement of Transportation grant and quite a few others. All of which have been granted by the funding party.
