Henk Hogeveen is associate professor Animal Health Economics at Wageningen University. He teaches Animal Health Economics to students at BSc or MSc level, both at Wageningen University and at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University.

His research is directed on the crossroads of animal diseases (mostly production diseases), economics, epidemiology and animal welfare. Working at this crossroad makes that Henk is able to translate veterinary management to economic questions and economic theories to veterinary management.

Henk is particularly interested in dairy farming. He has published many articles in scientific as well as business journals and is often asked to perform as a speaker on national and international conferences.
